I agree. As someone suggested in private e-mail:

  I guess it might [make sense] to lay the tags, build the world,
  install the world, reboot and do a clean make release.

As this really confused users ``Now, do I have 4.2-RELEASE or don't I?'',
it would be good addressing this for future releases.
