I am not quite sure if I should address you, but since the following problem only occurs on my FreeBSD laptop, I'll do. :) I upgraded lately to a clean iso installed 5.3-R. From then, my laptop always gives an eeky "beeeeeeep" when the boot loader prompts. It was all silent with 5.2.1 and I'd like it to be that way again ;) Is this a known issue? Can s.o. give me hint (some PLEASE_DO_NOT_MAKE_NOISE_DURING_BOOT=yo in /boot/loader.conf) Thanks! Carsten -- Carsten Zimmermann // GERMANY // PGP: http://hacksocke.de/public_key.asc
