It crashes before going through the countdown??? Damn, I wish I could see the log of this boot. IIRC, you only have "include /boot/loader.4th" and "start" in your loader.rc, right? The lines starting with "\ " are comment lines. Well... I'd like you to sprinkle some stuff in there so I can better pinpoint _when_ the crash happens.
