Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: questions-owner@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk Well, I just posted yesterday about how stable my Promise 2300+ VL had been. Well, It wernt broke, so I decided to fix it by turning on the card BIOS. First: F1 DOS F2 FreeBSD F? And it kept saying F? unitl I turned the box off and rebooted with a new base address for the controller BIOS. Now I got the completely omninous "put boot disk in drive A." After 24hrs of work I can safely say: DO NOT TURN PROMISE 2300+ BIOS ON and expect your HD to live. }:-) Besides that It's great.............(kinda pissed).............Rob ==== Haven't had time to re-install .signature
