I want to set up an LCD Panel (Backlit 16x2 screen hooked up through the printer port). Under wintendo there is software like LCDcenter, but I want to be able to control the LCD Panel though my FreeBSD box, where I can write a funky little script that can display whatever I want it to. Any suggestions on how best to do this. Is there like an app I can compile, or is there a perl module available etc etc. Any help would be great.
