CARP and VRRP are two different protocols. For historical misfortune (blame
original authors of CARP in OpenBSD) they use the same IP protocol number a=
nd
they actually are designed to implement pretty close functionality. But aga=

these are two different protocols. The fact they do not connect to each oth=
er
is not a bug.
