However, the compat22 installation forgot to copy the ld.so file into /usr/libexec. That is why /usr/libexec/ld.so is missing! So, for FreeBSD 3.2 and Netscape, install the compat22 compatability and get ld.so from the /usr/libexec/ directory of another machine (I got it from a 2.2.7 machine and it worked) Or, just install the linux netscape port, which works just fine.
