David, I saw the same issue yesterday when testing my ath based chipset on using wpa_supplicant. I got to the point where I was connected to my AP but loss my router/gateway. My problem was *probably* due to pilot error since I ran wpa_supplicant/dhclient manually. Are you going through the /etc/rc.d/netif start cycle and seeing this problem? -aps
