	Try cd'ing to /dev and running "./MAKEDEV snd0".  This should make
the dsp device as well as all the other sound devices.  I suppose another
possible cause for the error message is that you have the /dev/dsp device
node and that it is in use.  DO you have any sound programs running when
you try to start doom?  Is there an left over sndserver frm a previous
invocation?
