Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Hello; This is rather a stupid question, but which one is the stable release of FreeBSD right now? In the ftp site there is 2.2.8-stable, 2.2.8-release, 3.1-stable, 3.1-relase. What is the difference between stable and relaase, and what is the difference between 3.1 and 2.2.8? is the 3.1 the developement version, or has it been officially released. Comments appreciated. -Can To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
