I do have the mixer settings up. i recompiled the kernel with device pcm (and i have device pci in already) then rebooted and did a cd /dev ./MAKDEV snd0 cat /dev/sndstat shows: FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm) Dec 31 2000 12:36:40 Installed devices: pcm0: at io 0xd000 irq 10 (4p/3r channels duplex) Mixer shows Mixer vol is currently set to 62:62 Mixer pcm is currently set to 100:100 Mixer speaker is currently set to 100:100 Mixer line is currently set to 75:75 Mixer mic is currently set to 80:80 Mixer cd is currently set to 69:69 Mixer rec is currently set to 0:0 Mixer line1 is currently set to 75:75 Mixer phin is currently set to 69:69 Mixer phout is currently set to 97:97 Mixer video is currently set to 100:100bash-2.04# cat /dev/sndstat help, is there something i'm missing here? I've put the volume to 100% on everything including speakers and I don't hear a peep, no matter what type of audio I attempt to play. thank you!
