Checked the following: 1: modem is connected to the right com port, get lights to respond on that port, after tip, and what have you. 2: IRQs, are set right, in config and bios. Get positive dmesg on that. 3: stty -f /dev/cuaa0 crtscts speed 57600 4: /etc/remote - cuaa0:dv=/dev/cuaa0:br#57600:pa=none. - tip57600:dv=/dev/cuaa0:br#57600:pa=none:du:at=wcom: 5: /etc/modems - wcom:dial_command=ATDT%s\r:hangup_command=ATH0\r:\ :echo_off_command=ATE0\r:reset_command=ATZ1\r:\ ... etc. Im getting the following output, after: tip -57600 1234567 tip: can't synchronize with wcom timeout waiting for reply timeout waiting for reply timeout waiting for reply hangup failed call failed [EOT] bash-2.02# Also have problems with: tip cuaa0 AT won't be echoed and don't get an OK either. I have an external WISECOM 56000/33600 bps VOICE MODEM, that runs fine on a win95 box. So what's going on? tnx much, rotan@cs.pdx.edu To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
