I got a kernel build time of just under 4 minutes on a new ASUS P6 200 Mhz.
This has a 440 Intel chipset in it. On another Intel motherboard P6 200 Mhz with

an Intel 450 KX chipset the kernel build time was 4:43. They both have 32 Megs o
f
ram. Obviously not all motherboards are equal.
What I'm really curious about though is whether or not anyone has been using
the pgcc optimized compiler for the P6 yet and what are the performance
enhancements?
