FYI, I'm running 2.2-STABLE from a few days ago. On 2.2.x (or 2.2-stable) the Bt878 is NOT supported. It is supported on 3.0-RELEASE and 3.0-current. Fortunatly you can get support for your card by downloading the files from ftp://telepresence.dmem.strath.ac.uk/pub/bt848/22x and replacing the files in your source tree. Check the README file too.
