I've seen some sharks that claim that they've been certified by their firewall vendor. One even claimed he was certified to train people in a particular firewall product, and this man let through all UDP and could not figure out how to allow return traffic without letting in SYN packets for high ports! hence I see vendor certification as a load of rubbish, possibly save that of Cisco.
