* cron.* /var/log/cron * security.* @seclogserver.domain.com * !ppp * *.* /var/ppp.log * *.* @logserv.domain.com This would send cron logs to /var/log/cron All security stuff to seclogserver.domain.com Send all ppp logs to /var/log/ppp Send everything else to logserver.domain.com where logserver.domain.com represents the hostname of your syslog host. Is this correct or is my understanding of syslogd poor.
