The HD works OK to install a DOS partition on, however when I boot my 4.0r CD, things don't go nearly as well as they did with teh IDE drive. The CD boots, and it works through the line /kernel text=xxxxxxxxxxxxx data=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(little whirligig) It then hops to the next line, the whirligig starts and then I get 2 columns of continuously scrolling gibberish and that's it. It impressed my step-son, who thinks it looks cool, but it's not the look I was going for. Before I launch into full on harware fault finding, do these symptoms indicate a fault in any particular area. --------------------------------------------------- Get free personalized email at http://www.iname.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
