Hi When I boot FreeBSD and type "startx", It says Could not read network connection list. /root/.DCOPserver_rafter_:0 please check that the "dcopserver" program is running. Then I try to run the dcopserver: Aborting. $DISPLAY is not set. I have checked what the $DISPLAY should be, so I type it in og run the dcopserver again: socketCreateListener() failed dcopserver self-test failed But if I run /stand/sysinstall to set up the XF86config and again type startx it works....or sometimes I have to "startx" 3 times before it suddently works. What is going on and how do I fix it? br db To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
