Yes, that's exactly why I used the longer PKGNAMEPREFIX.  As for the
suffix part, I agree, how about the following then?

Since the suffix sometimes doesn't have a "-", I think we should make
the dash included in the PKGNAME*IX rather than have bsd.port.mk
supply it automatically for symmetry.
