Just to put this in context: The 13.5 release cycle (last release from the 13-STABLE branch) is starting soon with a release due in March; then we'll do 14.3 in April-June; and the second half of this year will be dedicated to getting 15.0 out the door. 14.3-RELEASE schedule: ports quarterly branch: April 1, 2025 reminder email: April 4, 2025 stable/14 slush: April 18, 2025 doc/ tree slush: April 25, 2025 releng/14.3 branch: May 2, 2025 BETA1 build starts: May 2, 2025 BETA2 build starts: May 9, 2025 doc/ tree tag: May 9, 2025 BETA3 build starts: May 16, 2025 ports package builds: TBD (Between May 9 and 23) RC1 build starts: May 23, 2025 RELEASE build starts: May 30, 2025 RELEASE announcement: June 3, 2025 14.2-RELEASE EoL: September 30, 2025 14.3-RELEASE EoL: June 30, 2026 Branch EoL: November 30, 2028 -- Colin Percival FreeBSD Release Engineering Lead & EC2 platform maintainer Founder, Tarsnap | www.tarsnap.com | Online backups for the truly paranoid
