However, could not remove the CD-ROM device as I'm not aware of a Virtual PC feature to allow this. Tried each of these individually and in combination. Installation always fails. The last thing "boot -v" always shows is: DEBUG: deviceTry: Making raw device for /dev/acd0c [117, 0] Anyone with advice on how to troubleshoot this problem further so early in the boot process, please let me know and I'll get on it.
