There is definitely a problem with the 5.1.28 version of the aic7xxx driver and my intel(gateway) motherboard on board scsi controller. Backing out the 5.1.28 patch from the included sources from redhat, seemed to give me a stable system. I have also compiled the sources into the kernel to eliminate any module problems. If there is anything I can do to help test/debug this aic7xxx driver on my system, please let me know.
