(The port builds fine on 6.2 here.) That's good advice. Once I no longer have access to a FreeBSD version -- and I have none to 5.3 -- I can't validate it there. I try to avoid making changes that will affect FreeBSD versions to which I no longer have access, but that isn't always successful. Vic, lsof author
