This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------B8E7086F4E5E7FAD277D8511 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I'm having a bit of trouble installing FreeBSD 2.1.5 onto a machine at home... I have a 486 DX2/66, 20mb ram, 1.2gb ide drive, 1.44 floppy, trident 512k isa video, 250w power supply, generic 1024x768 monitor. I'm about to add a 3com 3c509b isa nic, another 16mb ram, an adaptec 2940uw scsi host adapter, a gravis ultrasound max, and a 2.1gb scsi hdd. When i boot from the boot.flp floppy, it goes through it's probe fine, then gives me "Dies without init", and then "Automatically rebooting in 15 seconds, press any key to abort". When i press the 'any' key, it says "Press any key to reboot". Any ideas? I'm stumped! Thanks Steve -- ---------------------------------------- Stephen C.
