See the dmesg dump for details bellow. I have one question concerning the information shown by the disklabel command. ferda:/root# disklabel -r da2 # /dev/rda2c: type: SCSI disk: da2s1 label: flags: bytes/sector: 512 sectors/track: 63 tracks/cylinder: 255 sectors/cylinder: 16065 cylinders: 1106 sectors/unit: 17783240 rpm: 3600 interleave: 1 trackskew: 0 cylinderskew: 0 headswitch: 0 # milliseconds track-to-track seek: 0 # milliseconds drivedata: 0 8 partitions: # size offset fstype [fsize bsize bps/cpg] c: 17783240 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - 1106*) e: 17783240 0 4.2BSD 0 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - 1106*) Some values like rpm shown by disklabel do not match the factory values. For example the rpm here is 3600 and the disk documantation says 7200. Number of cylinders is 1106 vs 7520. I'm not experienced enough to see whether these inconsistencies are something I should be worry about or not.
