Can this be done with TCL's "eval"?

Hmm, otoh, I don't know exactly what you want to do :)

Yeah, indeed.  We have a multiple-line-textwidget.
Maybe you cannot scroll it from within TCL yet, but this should
be easy to add.  I can do that if there is need.
