The resulting kernel freezes on the p200. It gets to the little rotating dash and freezes after displaying the first - nothing gets in /var/log/messages I can load the old kernel from the boot loader prompt, and boot it, no problem... I tried a generic build without all the hardware I do not have, same results The p200 motherboard is a PCISA single-board computer from IPC. if anyone has any idea on what I can try... please let me know ! bruno here is the dmesg from the working 4.2 kernel: FreeBSD 4.2-RELEASE #2: Sun Dec 10 14:15:44 PST 2000 bruno@router.bschwand.net:/usr/src/sys/compile/MYKERNEL Timecounter "i8254" frequency 1193182 Hz Timecounter "TSC" frequency 200456703 Hz CPU: Pentium/P55C (200.46-MHz 586-class CPU) Origin = "GenuineIntel" Id = 0x543 Stepping = 3 Features=0x8001bf real memory = 132120576 (129024K bytes) avail memory = 125050880 (122120K bytes) Preloaded elf kernel "kernel.001" at 0xc0390000.
