No offense taken--if I was in a position to need the 400 series cards, I'd be snapping up all the used and auction lots I could. Nortel just auctioned off about 1000 of them, so I'd expect that there will be a glut on the used market. If money is the only concern, those cards should be available on the secondary market for next-to-nothing for a long time. If performance, features and form factor are more important, there are better chipsets available on current cards. Both approaches have their merits.
