Replacing Thru-Hole connectors is not that hard and may be quick when
you have Desolder Station with Vacuum Pump like this below for
example.. I did remove 25+ pin connectors from various motherboards
without even damaging them :-) :-)

Also modern Non-Pb solder requires using flux paste to even move :-)

I usually re-solder all points with Pb tin just to make them soft and
then use vacuum de-solder station :-)
