I could be totally wrong, but I think direct sales/giveaway is much better than leaving them sitting somewhere. The store will not care a bit if someone who for whatever reason dislikes FreeBSD will take copies away just to trash them. You may be thinking people are picking them up whent it is just one guy throwing them away. Also unless you know the people in the store I don't think it is a good idea for many other reasons such as re-organizations on the store where they may move the CDs and then forget to put them back, not wanting to have them up to not have to answer questions about it.... So far given them out to co-workers has worked pretty well. Also will be giving a number of them at school. On every case I will not leave more than 5 if I don't know where they are going.
