Anyway, what I'm trying to convey is that it wouldn't be the first time manpages were stuffed into some /local/something dir that was not added to /etc/manpath.config. Now this isn't the greatest solution since it's been incorporated into the base system. But maybe something can be done using /usr/share/something? How about ../man/RSN? ;). It's not that one misses them often, but when one does at least it's there.
