Some more info: in rare cases getblk hangs can be cured by accesing the same disk blocks from another program. In rare cases getblk hangs cause panic in disksort. Kernel from Oct 1 works fine for me. Someone else reports that kernel from Oct 6 works fine too. -- Andrey A.
