I've ruled out my local network as the cause : (swapping of cables and whatnot). Do I just have a bad card? Maybe. We've had reports of this card working well enough to do an installation. Getting to chunk 7 and then dying is an odd one. It may be due to irq conflict, but it might not. How fast is the download before it dies? If it is a lot less than 500kB/s over 10BaseT ethernet, then you may have an IRQ problem that is masked by the timeout routines. That's just pure speculation.
