I am in the middle of installing 2.2-961014-SNAP, cvsup, etc., in order to build a box on which to test the 2.2R release candidate code. I am getting Nov 8 23:17:33 newnews /kernel: de0: receive: 00:60:3e:7e:ee:80: bad crc Nov 8 23:17:33 newnews /kernel: de0: receive: 00:60:3e:7e:ee:80: bad crc every few minutes. The host address is that of the Cisco 75XX router here, which makes sense because I am running cvsup right now and receiving data. It does not seem to be hurting anything. The board is an ASUS P/I-P55TP4XE, from rgrimes which had been out of service for a few months. The card, an SMC EtherPower 10/100 which was pulled out of a perfectly functioning 2.1.5R box. I have another SMC card here but do not want to interrupt the wonderful 3K of data per second I am getting (DS3 connectivity is great)... I will play switchoo hardware later this weekend. If this is of some particular interest to anyone, please drop me a line. If it is not, I'll see what happens after a make world and/or hardware switch. I must confess I have not been reading the bug reports for 2.2-961014-SNAP... but I thought I would report it in case anyone was interested. ...
