I posted a patch to the ata driver that fixes it - if you missed
that patch, check the freebsd-mobile list archives for messages
with the same subject as this message.

I'm waiting for Søren to review it - he is concerned (quite rightly!)
that any changes to the ata probe code might break support for some
hardware that currently works fine - so it may be some time before
the patch gets committed.
