Actually i boot from IDE, because the SRM didn't recognise my Seagate connected to an 895 DigitalStorm. So, I'm searching for an SCSI controller which is bootable. I found following Controllers with Google: Symbios Logic 8100S ( 53C810 Chipset) (or other 53C810 w/o ending letters like A or AE) (810A is definitly not working??) Taekram 390F ( 53C875 Chipset) (only revision 2.2, 3.0 is not known to work) (some chipsets miss?) Now my question. I'm able to get a MAX 875 Controller (symbios 875 chipset). Someone knows if other 875 controllers are bootable from my alpha (AlphaPC 146LX) except the 390f (Maybe someone hase the MAX 875? ;)? And what are the differences between the 2.2 and 3.0 revision? And how affect these limit to 2.2 other 875 controllers? Is that a chipset revision?
