https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D219844 Bug ID: 219844 Summary: devel/gdb builds fine with Python-3.6 Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: freebsd-ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: mi@ALDAN.algebra.com CC: luca.pizzamiglio@gmail.com Flags: maintainer-feedback?(luca.pizzamiglio@gmail.com) CC: luca.pizzamiglio@gmail.com Created attachment 183299 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D183299&action= =3Dedit Do not insist on python-2, when building devel/gdb There is no apparent need to insist on Python-2.x in lang/gdb any more... It certainly builds just fine now -- just tested with Python-3.6.1 (may work w= ith 3.5 too?). There is a comment inside Python's Tools/gdb/libpython.py: # NOTE: some gdbs are linked with Python 3, so this file should be dual-syn= tax # compatible (2.6+ and 3.0+). See #19308. So we would not be the first ones doing it :-) --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
