I use FreeBSD 4.7 with x-windows on an AMD 486 DX4 as my workstation (I
have no better hardware at the moment). It runs fine, faster than Window$
95 and more stable.
FreeBSD should run on every PC with 8 Megs of memory and a 386-processor or
up. You won't need to find an old Sparc :)
