If I ssh into my 4.4R machine (from solaris) and run vim, I get some very nice colors. However, if I run vim at the machine (with KDE 2.2 and X11) then vim does not display colors, but underlines and bold characters. Does anyone know how to configure vim locally so I get the same colors as I do with gvim?
