gecko@'s response in this thread suggests that this was way too hasty and
aggressive measure, esp. given one vague report of "breakage".  Waiting few
hours more wouldn't have hurt and made less mess out of it.  Please try to
coordinate your actions with maintainers better next time, thank you.
