I am closing this bug because the reporter found their own workaround (addi=
ng
`Option "SWcursor" "on"` to xorg.conf) and there has been no activity for
nearly 3 years. The mouse pointer disappearing on a Radeon HD 4670 (RV730) =
is a
hardware-specific driver issue. The maintainer-feedback request to x11@ went
unanswered. This is better tracked upstream if the issue persists without t=
he
SWcursor workaround.
