I saw it work with SCO, whatever that's worth. If you're really sold on a PCI serial card, check out Stallion's, their card works with FreeBSD. It also supports up to 32 (maybe 64) ports off *one* pci slot. If the driver isn't in -current, it's available from ftp.stallion.com. You can probably get more info from Greg Ungerer . eric.
