From: Sam Lawrance To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, freebsd@orchid.homeunix.org Cc: Subject: Re: ports/90046: portupgrade doesn't honor PACKAGES variable when "packaging a port as dependency" Date: Tue, 13 Dec 2005 12:19:13 +1100 The behaviour you report is unusual. The manpage documents that -p only builds a package when a port is updated or installed. It seems your installation is doing otherwise. I can confirm the correct behaviour here on 6.0-STABLE with the current version of portupgrade as well as a previous version 20041226_8. Can you please repeat the problem and make available a full log? It might be a good idea to use the --verbose flag as well. Is there anything of interest in your pkgtools.conf? Pkg_cutleaves is _not_ a dependency of portupgrade. What does cd / usr/ports/sysutils/portupgrade && make all-depends-list show? Can you think of any other changes to your ports tree, configuration or environment that might be related to this problem?
