It will always tend to be out of date or incomplet= e in some way, for little gain. The source of truth for this layout information = is /usr/src/README.md; I think we should point readers there instead. I note that the information is duplicated again in the Developer's Handbook [1], and is differently outdated (stand/ is missing, at least). This further illustrates the problem. If folks find my take agreeable, I have the bandwidth and interest to take = on the task of removing this information from hier(7) and augmenting README.md= as necessary.
