Can it be narrowed down ? May be try to solve the mouse problem first. Try put this 4 line on you "/etc/rc.conf" moused_enable="YES" moused_flags="-3" moused_port="/dev/psm0" moused_type="auto" If there any line begined with "moused" should be removed. It will configure you mouse and useable at console mode.
