A new snap of the sound code is at http://www.iet.unipi.it/~luigi/snd970930.tgz or http://www.iet.unipi.it/~luigi/FreeBSD.html This code includes some major changes to the DMA code which, while still not supporting auto-dma, should make operation much smoother and more robust in full duplex with cards such as OPTI and SB16 which exhibited problems with previous releases. Also fixed is a bug in the interrupt handler for mss cards. I suggest you to upgrade to this new code.
