Also, all projects being _open_ it's not like 
there isn't any useful cross-talk in sources, there 
is.

And all projects can focus on their precise goals.

Win-win.

Of course, if some sub-goals are common, 
collaboration is encouraged (e.g. editor suite, 
chromium, I believe some wifi drivers... etc).
