Hartmann from comment #11) > So I consider this issue a serious one and it could not be ignored in fav= our of=20 > 7.1. We do not use "special cases" so I fear other will suffer from the s= ame=20 > issue sooner or later when this crap gets common in the package tree. Its not ignored in favor of 7.1. There is *no* support for PHP 5.6 by the P= HP group it self. Same for 7.0.=20 That PHP 5.6 is currently the default PHP version has a little back story. I already prepared the ports-tree to get to 7.1. But it was stopped by mat in favor of PHP flavors. This will allow you to install every software with the PHP version you want - so without a change of default versions. The current work is done by mat here: https://reviews.freebsd.org/D14208 Since this will most likely land in Q1 2018 there isn't currently any plan = to change the default version. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
