check your BIOS configuration... Mine (ASUS motherboard) has an item called "AC Power Loss Restart", it's default is to leave the system off after the power is reapplied. I always change this so that my servers come back on after a power loss. -john --------------- John A. Well, I came back after a power outage to find my system still down. Checking the hardware docs, I find that a jumper must be set to enable PIIX4, which means the system will power back on. The question is, is PIIX4 something magic that FreeBSD needs to support, and does it? Or does it mean the system just reboot from scratch after an AC failure?
