 In my case, the attachment of disabled ATA channel by the new driver
seems to be harmless:

ata1: at 0x170 irq 15 on atapci0
ed1: <NE2000 PCI Ethernet (RealTek 8029)> port 0xb800-0xb81f irq 15 at device
10.0 on pci0

Ethernet card seems to be happy with the IRQ line, the only thing that one
notices is "mux" instead of "ed1" on systat's vmstat screen.
